Marriage Requirements

If travelling to Anguilla for your wedding please refer to the following information for the legal requirements:

Visitors from countries that are allowed entry without special permission are required to be in the country for two working days before the wedding in order to process the licence.

The ceremony requires two witnesses.

The following documents are required for a "special" marriage licence:

• Proof of Citizenship ie. passport/ birth certificate and a drivers licence with a photograph.

• Proof of divorce or death certificate if either partner has been married previously.

The license will cost $40US if one partner stays in Anguilla for at least 15 days before the wedding, otherwise the license will cost $284US due to stamp duty.
